A Tribute to Davide Nanni

Salvaged Beauty is a fashion portfolio collaboration with my friend, Davide Nanni (1968-2023). Simply referring to Davide as a set designer or creative director is too narrow of a defining title. Davide recently passed, too early, and when I refer back to some of the many projects we have worked on, I realize how multi-talented of a person he was. Davide was an explosion of ideas that seemed to have no boundaries. His practical yet unusually eclectic thought process was inherent and quickly accessed. A painter, furniture designer, chef, carpenter, and visualizer were just a few of the descriptors that popped into my mind. I was lucky to have known Davide. He shared ideas freely and loved to create beauty—his warmth as a person manifested in his work.  Davide will be greatly missed by those fortunate enough to know him and have the opportunity to work with him.
